Senior Finance Officer

We are currently looking for a meticulous, sharp minded and highly motivated Senior Finance Officer to join our Digital Assets Finance team. If you have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this opportunity is for you.

This is a broad role sitting across two teams. The majority of the work is reconciliations, with support to the wider Finance team as a secondary focus, including acting as cover during periods of absence and peak workload.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Performing daily reconciliations across all relevant finance systems and digital asset platforms such as NetSuite, Tres Finance and Kyriba, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting of discrepancies, investigating breaks and following them through to resolution while working closely with the Digital Assets Finance Team Reconciliations Manager.

  • Supporting the Finance Manager in accurately inputting financial data in the company’s Finance systems while maintaining an organized work process.

  • Ensuring timely bank payments, daily downloading of third-party statements, funds monitoring reporting and maintaining the company’s records and logs.

  • Supporting month-end close, including journals, accruals, intercompany balances and balance sheet reconciliations. Preparing data and supporting schedules for internal and external audit, and responding to ad hoc requests from Finance, Risk and Compliance.

  • Maintaining and improving process documentation, identifying opportunities to automate or simplify recurring tasks. Contributing to ad hoc projects, including system implementations and process migrations.

  • Working within Capital.com's internal policies, procedures, and regulatory obligations at all times.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of accounting and reconciliation experience, ideally within the FX/CFD/crypto industry or a comparably regulated financial services environment.

  • Familiarity with digital assets and blockchain transaction flows, or a genuine interest in developing this knowledge.

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or a business-related field — or equivalent practical experience.

  • Professional-level English, written and spoken.

  • Advanced Excel skills. Knowledge of NetSuite, Kyriba or Tres Finance will be considered an advantage.

  • Experience automating workflows, scripting or AI tooling within the finance environment will be considered an advantage.

  • Sharp attention to detail and strong analytical thinking.

  • Comfortable switching between workstreams and picking up tasks outside their core remit.

  • Ability to manage a high-volume daily workload, prioritize well and meet strict deadlines.

  • Discretion and integrity when handling sensitive financial and client data.
