The
Deputy Head of Financial Crime Compliance
will play a hands-on leadership role in delivering Capital.com’s Second Line oversight of financial crime risk, with primary responsibility for executing, embedding, and assuring the effectiveness of the Group’s financial crime frameworks, policies, and minimum standards across the business. The role is focused on translating strategy into practical, operating controls, and ensuring those controls remain effective, scalable, and aligned to regulatory expectations across entities, products, and jurisdictions.
In addition, the role will support the Group Head of Compliance, Regulatory Risk, Assurance and Financial Crime in delivering enhancements to the identification, assessment, and management of regulatory risk, ensuring strong alignment between financial crime risk, broader compliance risk, and enterprise risk management frameworks.
Working closely with First Line Product, Operations, and Technology teams, the Deputy Head will provide clear, timely challenge and practical guidance on financial crime and regulatory risks associated with business change. The role will actively support the build-out, enhancement, and stabilisation of controls during periods of growth or regulatory change, ensuring they are operationally effective before being embedded within the First Line.
The Deputy Head will act as a senior escalation point for material financial crime and regulatory risk issues, breaches, and emerging risks.
In the absence of the Group Head of Compliance, Regulatory Risk, Assurance and Financial Crime, the Deputy Head will provide operational continuity, maintaining oversight, decision-making, and regulatory responsiveness.
